"Linea Politica"

March 20 - June 18 - 2024

The project is divided into three blocks from which a very clear message emerges. In the first, the artist summarizes his analysis of politics by tracing a vertical line that progressively curves until it becomes horizontal. In the second, the vertical line divides internally, creating soft circular shapes and then recomposing in the horizontality of the synthesis line.
"The political line is divided" alludes to the controversies that often fuel political debate within parties, at the same time it shows how the representatives themselves are weak and not very faithful to the guidelines of their political affiliation.
The third block, made up of six modules and entitled "Center Table", ironically ridicules the political forces of the center, that is, those representatives who, in order not to be misunderstood, place themselves on ambiguous and less responsible positions. In the six doilies drawn in pencil the "everything is possible" emerges, the embroideries are barely identifiable, flowers, leaves, random geometries, everything mixes, but without any formal distortion.

"M262E"

August 8 - October 18 - 2024

Michieletto Enrico presents his latest project (number 7) dedicated to the tragedy of Marcinelle (1956) in via Caprera 48, Vittorio Veneto. On this occasion the author analyzes the moment of turmoil inside the burning mine. In an entirely black surface measuring 450 x 210 centimetres, 262 white spots emerge which together aim to evoke the moments that preceded the end of those lives. The rather informal stains escape the compositional order, are random and overwhelmed by the black background. Enrico Michieletto has been working on the issue of the Marcinelle mine since 2005, having been born there to a miner father.

"LOW me"

January 24 - February 9 - 2025

In this project, Enrico Michieletto highlights the phenomenon of shattering that, according to his analysis, is taking place on the European continent. “Every day we are distracted and induced to look at the rubble of others, but we do not realize that on that rubble we are walking on it.”

The 27 flags of the countries of the European community represent the internal divisions, which, to the detriment of the principle of collec tivity, result in an increasingly fierce individualism.  The floor of the exhibition space is entirely covered with rubble generated by him; walking on it, the same, as they continue to break, produce noises that evoke destruction.  In this sense, Michieletto invites us to raise our consciousness, lest others tomorrow come down on us, as has already happened for crimes that have happened in the past.

"Dieser Raum ist nicht Klein, er ist eine Fälschung"

May 18 - June 22 - 2025

Nurraumproject presents the latest project by artist Enrico Michieletto.

The space, completely empty, evokes the event organized by Yves Klein in 1958, during which the French artist decided to represent for the first time the idea of an immaterial art (The Void). Michieletto ironically introduces the ambiguity of the term "Klein", which in German means "small". The writing displayed in the center of the gallery and clearly visible from the outside, defines, in the first part, the "not small" exhibition space (nicht Klein) and concludes with "..........it is a fake", alluding to its non-originality, as it is not Klein's work.

Translation: "This space is not small (Klein), it is a fake".

The theme of ambiguity, recurring throughout Enrico Michieletto's work, aims to involve the increasingly widespread "absent" spectator in an extravagant game, where the word takes on complex and questionable meanings, where apparent banality can express profound concepts. The author analyzes the theme and then deforms its content, the object/subject interacts ironically with the word that represents it, transforms to reveal new forms of reading. On this occasion Michieletto describes a visibly small space (Klein) as not small (nicht Klein), the name of the French artist becomes, in the ambiguity of the word Klein, the substance of the concept of the work. Similarly, in the second part of the exhibition, a small blue painting is described as a fake Klein.....

"Dieser Raum ist nicht Klein, er ist eine Fälschung"

"This painting is not Klein (small), it is a fake".

"LUEGE"

June 28 - July 20 - 2025

"LUEGE" (from the German LIE) is the new project that Enrico Michieletto presents in the nurraumproject space in Vittorio Veneto. The author, starting as a reference from the "Stand-by" project (Berlin 2009), analyzes the word LUEGE to describe

the hypocrisy and contradictions that have emerged are true in an extremely concise manner

if in recent decades within the European Union. In the main work, the UE stands out, deliberately distinguished by the color yellow, the technique of inlaying on cardboard allows the superfluous shapes to be used for the creation of further panels, displayed on the side walls of the gallery. This method, which could continue indefinitely, strengthens the content of the project and Michieletto comments:

"The cut out shapes are recomposed from time to time in new cartoons, the superposition gives rise to new shapes with the addition of new colours, but the underlying word always remains LUEGE". With irony the artist observes the progressive change of certain rules, often obsessive, but which in the end

room does not produce a real cultural exchange, as it is always represented by the same people, just like the silhouettes, different only in colours....

subtractedextracted (2025) Project n. 8 to remember the Marcinelle tragedy

The project starts from the analysis of two ambiguous definitions veiled in sad irony. The artist uses the date of the tragedy (1956) and subtracts from this the year of birth of each fallen miner. The subtraction determines the age of the miner, the number is "extracted" to make up the large central panel. The numbers shown on the grid highlight the relationship with the game of luck, the 262 numbers produced by a subtraction/extraction give shape to the content of the work, interact with the consciousness of those who, while observing, reflect on the phenomenon of luck/bad luck. Those who chose to be miners, often fleeing from poverty, were deceived, in the case of Marcinelle and not only that, they were forced to work in inhumane conditions which in many cases turned into tragedy. Enrico Michieletto, having been born in that place, to a family of miners, talks about the tragedy because he feels it close to him. Since 2005, with numerous projects, it has been the spokesperson for that circumstance that cost the lives of so many miners.

Smoke kills (2007) Project n. 1 to remember the Marcinelle tragedy

The project highlights the ambiguity of the title which, on the one hand reads as a warning about the damage of tobacco, on the other as a real consequence of the event that happened in the Bois du Cazier mine in 1956. On that occasion the 262 miners were at a depth of 935 meters and had no way of saving themselves. The smoke produced by the flames caused their death and to remember them Michieletto decided to print their names on 262 cigarette packets, which today are officially on display for the first time.
